Preserve Our Water’s purposes are to educate citizens in protection and preservation of Blanco County’s rural and small town communities, and to encourage informed citizen participation.
We seek to provide the educational tools and resources needed to bring these shared goals into concrete action. Our desire is to protect the natural and other desirable attributes of Blanco County.
Protection of water resources, being integral to preserving our way of life, is a primary goal of the organization.
POW, Inc is a grass-roots, non-profit organization, formed in response to what many citizens feel are inappropriate actions and decisions that negatively impact our water cycle, and particularly our groundwater, here in Blanco County and the Texas Hill Country.
The purpose for which the Preserve Our Water corporation is organized is the “transaction of (1)charitable, educational, and scientific business, (2) that is permitted of charitable organizations recognized by the Internal Revenue Code, as amended.”
Our primary objectives are:
- To sponsor and conduct educational projects to promote protection and preservation of Blanco County rural and small town communities
- To encourage informed citizen participation
- To provide the tools and educational resources necessary to translate the shared goals into concrete action
- To include, where necessary and appropriate, such legal action as may be required to protect and enhance sustainability of the desirable attributes of Blanco County.
