On Wednesday, January 15, the Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance (GEAA) held its “legislative kickoff” at the State Capitol. Representatives from each of the Groundwater Conservation Districts in GMA 9 will meet next week, Thursday the 19th at 10:00 AM to review and discuss the results of the most recent groundwater modeling effort. Last fall, Trinity Aquifer modeling requests were submitted to the Texas Water Development Board with pumping targets of 25 and 50 percent over current demand.
